BE Chantra is presently the lead organizer of BarCamp events in Cambodia, an International, Innovative, and Open Technology Conference. He is in charge of overall event planning, funding and coordination of all activities, ensuring the events run smoothly and get the expected outcomes. He has also organized and participated in many local events and workshops such as the blogger summit, clogger corner, personal IT workshop, tech meet-ups, youth camps, etc.
His goal has been to promote the effective use of technology tools for individual, organization and businesses. He has worked on the organization of private events and campaigns that require social mobilization. Beside event management he is also an online content, social media and marketing specialist. He had led the Sabay social media & marketing team and turned thesabay.com.kh website into a well-known online content provider in Cambodia.
Sophat was from Banteay Mean Chey province. He had involved with several youth activities also social acidity since 2006 during studied at High School & University. Currently, he is a leader of Open Event and Administrator at AnajakIT also Web Author at (http://it4ug.net/). He used to worked as a librarian at Mean Chey University. He is one of the BarCamp Phnom Penh 2012 organizer ,and volunteer of BlogFest Asia 2012 and Angkor Youth Camp 2012.
Besides technical works he also joins and organizes some social events like BarCamp Phnom Penh, Blogfest Asia 2012 and BarCamp Siemreap, builds an eco-library for rural kids and writes short articles/stories to promote gender equality.
Chhaly Samsokrith is always enthusiastic about the event of Barcamp Phnom Penh scale. For this reason, he infuses his involvement with Barcamp Phnom Penh by gradually improve the event year by year. This year, Samsokrith will assume the role of the lead volunteer where he is responsible for training and guiding volunteers. Currently, Samsokrith is working as a freelance writer for Khmerenterprise.com where he writes business review for Cambodian business, especially start-up business. He has been a blogger since 2007.
Piseth KHENG is currently the Program Manager of the KhmerOS project, a project started in 2004 aimed at reducing the digital divide in Cambodia by producing and distributing free computer software in Khmer language. As part of this work he is in charge of training, development of the training materials, necessary ICT curricula, textbooks for the Ministry of Education under the Open schools Program that is a joint project of the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport and the Open Institute started in 2007 which is working together to use ICT to improve quality of education.
He graduates a Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (2005, Cambodia) and Master degree in Development Management from the Norton University (2011, Cambodia).
Theary had involved in organize BarCamp Phnom Penh Since 2009 till now. She was a very good BarCamp volunteers team leader. Currently she work at ACE (Australian Center for Education). She had help organize many social event such as iDeaCamp, Let’s Do It etc. She got BA of International Relations from University of Cambodia.
Dr. Seng Sopheap, lecturer at ITC. He has an extensive experiences on Mobile Application Development Market.
Mr.Samboeun HEAN, a lecturer of Computer Science, in Charge of Public Relation and LMC of Cisco Networking Academy, Département Génie Informatique et Communication, ITC (Institut de Technologies du Cambodge). He specializes in Artificial Intelligence System, Access Control and E-learning Content.
Vitheara had involved in organize BarCamp Phnom Penh Since 2010 till now. He was a very active person and organize many social event. Currently He is studying and volunteer work at BBU.
